My Story
Since the beginning of my journey, I knew that art was a passion of mine. As I continued to grow in my skillset, I would question myself, "What exactly in the art field would I like to do?" By the time I graduated from Thomas Jefferson High in Richmond, VA, I knew that a professional Graphic Designer is what I wanted to be!
What lead me to become a Graphic Designer?
As a child, I was always excited to visit the arts & crafts aisles in stores. I would constantly ask my mom if she could buy me the watercolor paint sets, coloring books and even a pack of crayons. I've always been infatuated with all colors and shades of the rainbow. I knew my love for Graphic Design was genuine from my pre-teen years. I used to create "Bebo Skins" on a social media site that was popular during 2005-09. I created these Bebo skins by requests for numerous of friends, as well as myself. This hobby of mine is similar to what we call today: graphic/web design. Therefore, I knew my love for Graphic Design was more-so electronic based; yet still colorful, expressive, and creative!
What am I doing today?
I'm a proud alumna at Old Dominion University, with a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts (Graphic Design) and a double minor in Marketing and Psychology. I currently work for the City of Norfolk, as a Management Analyst I - Marketing. I plan to continue elevating my Graphic Design business: JRC Graphics Official, LLC. As an upcoming designer, my goal is to bring more creativity and limitless imagination to the world. I'm super excited for the future that's soon to come!
